I am sure you have questions – I would! I have compiled answers to the most common questions. Don’t see yours here? Contact me with your question!
I would be happy to include your flight, train, or other mode of transportation so you can get to your Retreat in the least stressful way possible.
Our minimum is 4 women and the maximum is 18. I am used to small groups and I want this to be an intimate experience for all of us. Watch my video response to this question from March’s Q&A Session.
All ages are welcome! Life is about intermingling with people of different ages, social classes, races, backgrounds, careers, and more. I take the same approach to our retreat setting and community as I did when I homeschooled my children – enjoy all the world has to offer! Feel free to invite your daughters, sisters, mothers, and friends to join you as you take this important step towards prioritizing your Self-Care and creating aWellness Lifestyle that works for you! I am a travel advisor through my host travel agency. My agency’s Seller of Travel License numbers are at the bottom of every page.
We will need to check the weather closer to the Retreat date, but Nov 2024 I layered up for my outdoor walks (sunny but feels like below freezing) with:
- Knee high winter boots
- Fleece pants
- Long fleece skirt
- Light weight down jacket
- Hoodie
- A normal-for-me winter indoor top
- Ear muffs
- Warm gloves
Indoor, expect to need a sweater and warm clothing if you are accustomed to room temperature being 72 degrees F (22.2 degrees C). Watch my video response to this question from our March Q&A session.
A plan made of action steps the perfect size for you and a way to progress through them so that you feel both accomplished and that you are keeping up with the plan. Every woman’s plan will be unique to her needs, her speed to create change, and her resources. Watch my video response to this question from our March Q&A session.
Personalized! There will be an opening ceremony and a closing ceremony. We will spend the mornings together learning, talking, planning, and more. The afternoons will be for play! We have one pre-planned by me group excursion for a spa day to the geothermally heated mineral baths. All other out of the hotel excursions or fun options will be selected based on the preferences and needs of the attendees. We will have meals together because food is usually better in community. If you want more unscheduled time to rest – you can have it. If you want to make sure you see Iceland’s beauty – you can have that too! You will receive a detailed packing list as we get closer to the retreat date. For the moment, know that anything that is needed specifically for the retreat will be provided by me including your Retreat Journal. Items that you need specifically for you to be comfortable and happy with your travels and your retreat should be brought. This may include a travel pillow for your neck on the airplane, something that reminds you of home or helps your room feel safe and cozy enough to sleep well, your personal journal for recording your thoughts as you might at home, and of course clothing for movement, comfort, and optimal temperature of your body. Travel insurance protects your investment in your Intentional Vitality Retreat should something out of your control go awry. Travel insurance can cover the retreat costs, your travel expenses (hotel, flights, etc), and there is even the option of medical coverage should you get hurt or ill.
I suggest everyone get travel insurance (a several hundred dollar expense) – particularly for expensive treats that will take place far in the future. Note that for many policies, you need to purchase it within 14 days of paying the deposit – particularly for pre-existing medical conditions. I have several suggestions for where get your insurance:
- Wanderwell Travel Insurance – please use my affiliate link – this company resonates well with me because of their focus on sustainability and responsible travel, they are a 1% For The Planet member (like me!), and the fact that they are a Certified B Corporation.
- RoamRight Travel Insurance – please use my affiliate link or ask me to send you a quote
- Generali Travel Insurance – ask me to send you a quote
